MIL-STD-1344A 시험 관련

MIL-STD-1344A ‘Test method for Electrical Connectors’는 전기 커넥터를 위한 통합시험방법으로 3가지 시험으로 크게 구분한다. 이렇게 분류된 시험방법들은 다시 1001, 1002, 2013, 2017, 3007 등 세부항목으로 구분된다.

1. 환경시험 1001 – 1999
2. 기계시험 2001 – 2999
3. 전기시험 3001 – 3999

시험은 각 시험방법에서 규정하는 개별적인 사양에 따라 진행되며, 다른 곳에서 특정하지 않는 한 아래의 기본적인 환경조건을 따른다.

a. 온도 : 15 – 35
b. 기압 : 550 – 800 mmHg
c. 상대습도 : 20 – 80%

MIL-STD-1344A1993년에 규격이 취소되었지만 대체규격으로 바뀐 시험들이 여전히 존재하며, 전기 커넥터에 대한 대표적인 시험으로 남아있다.

MIL-STD-810G 510 모래 먼지

MIL-STD-810F / MIL-STD-810G510 모래먼지 시험은 미세먼지, 날림 모래 등의 다양한 모래가 날리는 환경에서 제품의 작동 및 능력평가를 수행하는 시험이다. 이 시험은 모래입자가 날리면서 제품이 받는 충격으로 인해 침식이나 부식을 야기할 수도 있지만 이를 측정하기 위한 시험은 아니다.

모래의 종류로는 황사 먼지, 규소 및 규토 가루 등이 있으며 그 외에 추가적으로 제품이 사용되는 환경에 맞게 모래/먼지를 구성할 수도 있다. 모래 입자 크기에 따라 Procedure가 달라지며 기준은 150 마이크로 미터이다.

MIL-STD-810F에서는 3개의 Procedure가 있었지만 MIL-STD-810G로 넘어오면서 침전먼지 시험이 제외되고 2개의 Procedure만 남게 되었다.

본 시험에서 고려해야할 조건은 기본적으로 Procedure를 선택하고 추가적으로 시험수준, 기후조건, 노출조건, 제품배치, 공기속도, 모래와 먼지의 성분/농도, 지속시간 등이 있다. 다만 일정 먼지/모래 구성물의 농도가 높은 경우 폭발의 위험성도 있기 때문에 주의해야 한다.
